Ibntep
of Rose
is 3/4 Babson with crosses to New Egyptian champions *Ansata
Ibn Halima++, *Bint Maisa El Saghira, and *Morafic.
His paternal grandsire was Park champion Raadin Inshalla, and his
paternal grand-dam Shar Sabbah was named among Scottsdale's Top
Performance Dams in 2000. He carries the following lines to horses now lost
within Heirloom proper: Rose of Egypt (Straight Babson) and *Bint Maisa
El Saghira.
Trained in basic dressage, Ibntep's performance career was pre-empted by serious injury: in 1993 he fractured his left foreleg in a freak accident. Despite being given less than a 10% chance of surviving to return to any kind of athletic activity, he remains rideable at the walk and trot and has performed publicly in long lines. This kind of spectacular recovery owes in large part to his intelligent and trusting nature, mellow temperament, excellent constitution, and well-balanced conformation. He passes on these qualities to his get, as well as his fancy dressage-style gaits.
