Heirloom/El Deree
Al Khamsa Egyptian Arabians

These are Heirloom/El Deree horses whose images have been
used in various print media, promotional materials, and other great accomplishments.  "And the Oscar goes to....."

Introducing Salazar SF (El Majiid x Dazeera) a 1985 Chestnut stallion owned and loved by Sandy Adams of Agoura, California.  Sal has had a distinguished career spanning many disciplines and he's not done yet!  From winning a Region 2 Top 5 accolade in Western Pleasure in 1988, to as recently as 2002 when he participated in "Hog Wild", a 35 mile run held annually in Southern California, to Sal competing with younger horses to earn Season High Points in the California show circuit, this fine stallion's versatility is clear.  We'd like to thank Sal for being such a great ambassador for the Heirloom/El Deree program, and, indeed, for the Arabian breed as a whole, and we're grateful to Sandy for sharing him with us.  Thank you!

The above images are promotional material for an art exhibition in New Jersey, featuring a painting of the 1988 Heirloom/El Deree mare Ms Rose (Inshalla Imhotep X Rose of Masada), owned by Ralph Suarez of Toms River, NJ.  Ralph and Ms Rose are a familiar sight at local area shows and competitions.  They perform in Dressage together, and have won awards and accolades in competition with horses of many breeds.  They are a true team, and it is a beautiful thing to behold.  Just goes to show that there's more to these horses than just a pedigree and a pretty face!  Ms Rose is also a full sister to Ibntep of Rose (featured in Stallions at Stud).   images used by permission of the artist, Lorraine Dey, and Ralph Suarez

These images are part of an early draft of the upcoming Al Khamsa informational brochure.  It includes an article, written by Jon H. Michael, that was featured in the July 2001 issue of Arabian Horse World Magazine, and a small handful of photographs of Al Khamsa horses.  One of them is Amaya Bint Nahiza (Hadaya Abu Dalul X Tayyib An Nahiza), a 1995 Heirloom/El Deree mare owned by Andy and Traci Fuller of Chaparral, New Mexico.  Amaya Bint Nahiza, or "Maya",  is primarily a family and pleasure horse, but she gets to stretch her legs on occasion and head over to the Bowen Ranch to play her favorite game: "Chase the Cow".  She is yet another example of the versatility and intelligence of the Heirloom/El Deree Arabian, and of the Al Khamsa Arabian in general.   images used by permission of Al Khamsa, Inc., and the photographer, Traci E. Fuller.  This brochure is a draft.  The final edit and version should be available from the Al Khamsa Business office soon.  Please visit their website at www.alkhamsa.org for availability updates and prices.
